I'm honestly puzzled why we don't see more media analysis of why the US has such worse outcomes now versus rest of world. Sure, situation is uncertain & are many possible theories. But when has that ever stopped media from arguing & speculating? Why isn't this a huge debate?
American journalists are surprisingly good at coordinating around not talking about ways in which America does certain things worse than other countries. Latent national pride is threatened.
