The last sentence is interesting. I think they should be given the support and safety to thrive as well. Which is why they shouldn't all be taught the same material. That's exactly how you frustrate less intelligent and more intelligent children at the same time.

God, some people are just talented. Why is this such a hard concept to grasp? It's not debilitating knowing that some people are gonna be Mozart.

True, but I think there is also a lot more of a nurture aspect than people want to believe. It's easier to just say your kid is dumb than to admit it's your fault. Likewise for school system or teacher that fails their students by using bad teaching methods and failing to engage.

Genes set upper limit for individuals & nothing can increase this upper limit (neuroscience might in the future). The only question is: how close to that limit does each individual amount to. This depends on non-genetic factors. This is e.g. why avg group IQ differences persist.
