Right, but combined with expert eyewitnesses with thousands of flying hours and expertise in identifying other flying objects who claim these things flew at thousands of miles an hour in controlled and physics-bending fashion = something amazing that defies current knowledge

This dismissal is entirely inadequate, since the case wasn't just about some old "grainy footage" of flying saucers. And I'm saying that as someone who would've loved to hear a terrestrial explanation of what the Navy pilots reported.

Most likely explanation is fairly boring, like testing a drone propulsion tech, maybe even an older propulsion method (nuclear, plasma, etc) where the remote/drone component makes piloting it possible today whereas in prior decades was not due to radiation concerns
