I keep reading people wondering weather the markets will retest the March lows or was that it. I must be the only guy who thinks March was just a tremor. Do any of you remember the movie Gorgo? They thought they had caught a monster: it was the baby. Mom showed up.
If lockdowns end before full #TestAndTrace is ready (as seems likely, given #HumanImpatience), a second, worse wave of infections is inevitable.
Then we get more lockdowns in summer, and more unemployment, and the indexes will finally price in the full scale of the catastrophe.
We're not locking down again for a virus with a 0.3-0.5 fatality rate.

lockdowns will soon be over regardless of whether that is wise....contact tracing doesnt seem likely...summer could be mild due to the weather...Fall is going to be interesting...I dont think people will re lockdown no matter what
I hope this doesn't happen. Here in Austin the city has a department set up already to contact trace for other infectious illnesses, HIV, tuberculosis etc. Can't we just expand that department by certain number of new hires? How much training does contact tracing really require?

I think lockdowns will end and the Rona will remain subdued but the cracks in the economy won’t heal so easily after the damage has been done.
For example Ford (and all its suppliers) has to be reeling and may never fully get back on its feet. Even with historically low fuel prices.
