You ever read a scientific paper whose entire point is that there should be a better paper on some given topic?
'Philosophy of science' papers are almost entirely like that.

I have this idea I call "just-around-the-cornerism." Philosophies of life founded on the idea that if we just do X, some unidentified amazing thing will happen. It's surprisingly common.
