Solid ideas from @ScottAdamsSays. If live sports incorporated most of these innovations, I might actually watch live sports (beyond MMA) once in a while.https://twitter.com/ScottAdamsSays/status/1254462727092723712 …
I want to understand the strategy & tactics from the players' and coaches' points of view, and you can't really get intelligent takes on those from ordinary 'sports commentators'. Almost any sport can seem interesting, for a while, if you really understand what's going on.

Idk if the changes would be warranted to get a few extra eyeballs on the screen for a few games, but the idea of a ‘funnier’ set of commentators, that’s more like watching the game with friends I think could be appealing long term.

Strategy is hard to cover in real time with basketball for instance, but more good-time banter would be an improvement over the shallow predictable corporate product fans are left with now.

The NBA tried ‘players only’ one night a week for a year or two. Really bad product. Former Players aren’t necessarily clever or charismatic. The insights they can provide aren’t necessarily entertaining.
