Having a solid discussion with friends about how “good boys” should be more than just obedient. Brought up a great question - what chances did you have as a boy to prove your bravery? Was bravery encouraged by your parents as much as obedience?

I still remember this as annoying/disappointing. My parents bought me a full 3D modeling program instead of an Outward Bound trip. I didn't need encouragement to sit at the computer imagining things. I needed the opposite.
