Thank you! No one thinks about the poor countries :( I've been obsessing about how it will hit my home country of Bolivia - and it doesn't look good.

I have been concerned about poor countries as well. The most populous poor countries (i.e. India, Brazil, Indonesia, etc) pose a particular risk to the global eradication of the novel coronavirus and the covid19 disease. I’m at a loss at what I would’ve done if I were the UN.

Bruh. The economic impact in the region will be biblical. Brazil alone is crippled for 10 years minimum.

Why is the case fatality rate going up instead of down like we had suspected? Is it still lack of testing? Should we factor active cases into total cases, and deaths versus recovered besides just CFR? The numbers aren't consoling.

They're not - in studies where entire populations have been studied - e.g. the recent one in Germany - its around .37%. Dr. Jay Bhattacharya is doing another study, results friday, predicting CFR of .1%https://theathletic.com/1746724/2020/04/14/mlb-team-employees-will-be-the-subjects-of-the-u-s-s-largest-covid-19-antibody-study/?redirected=1 …

Can we add Africa into that question as well? There are reports of only a handful of ventilators within some of these countries.
