"landlubber" is another always-hilarious insult, and is almost used incorrectly. Maybe used correctly once in history.

There's nothing wrong with the term. Grifters are a real thing, and a bad thing. But people tend to use it just to mean "someone I don't like making money doing something I don't approve of."

Too many dingbats use it to describe people they politically disagree with and who make money from their fans in a transparent way. Like so many other labels these days I don’t take it at face value anymore and wonder if the person using it is coming from a toxic place
