Never heard of someone writing to electronic dance! I wonder if chosen genre impacts writing style/pace, or vice versa...

Not electronic (quite the opposite) but inspiring as hell and probably what you are looking for, try Mike Oldfield's Ommadawn and other instrumental albums (go for the ones that are just one single track). I use it while painting.

My go to piece is JSB's Brandenburg Concerto N. 5. You'll be staring at a blank screen "oh woe is me, oh woe is me" and then - by magic - find yourself pounding the keys like that monkey in the famous meme. Happens every time, even if you know and try to resist.
