Midwit doesn’t mean average intelligence. It means slightly above average enough to give you the confidence that you are actually one of the smart ones.
Statistically, almost everyone is a 'midwit' about almost every topic.

Midwits are also those who need to have a take on everything. Obviously people are uninformed about most things. For example my need to weigh in on this is a midwit move. I don't have any particular insight into what a midwit is I really should just shut up but I didn't.
