I see Walmart is checking employee's temperatures. Grocers have sneeze guards & 6 foot intervals taped off. There's no way to protect ourselves & allow society to function? 6.6 m just their jobs & health insurance. We're hurting the ones we want to protect.

We don’t do this for any other health scenario. As you know there are government organisations literally set up to manage the economic cost of treatment and there is a threshold beyond which treatment becomes impractical

If we assume that we would not spend £100bn to extend one person’s life by one year, it follows by extension that there is a sliding scale of cost vs outcomes and at some point someone is going to have to take the call on where we draw the line.
