Are there any social science theories that are so liberal that you be afraid to teach them for fear of getting reprimanded? And if so, what are they?
Eugenics was a Leftist progressive cause & dominant theoretical framework from about the 1890s through the mid 1930s in most developed countries. Seems kinda taboo to mention that historical fact now.

How so? Were the Marxists Eugenicists? Imperialists often bought into such arguments, so I suspect it had mixed appeal. Wherever it was ideologically convenient.

Eugenics was widely supported by progressives in the UK & US before WW2. Often linked with birth control & sexual health. The Labour affiliated Fabian Society was big supporters of it.
