I would disagree, but more importantly (1) the lack of preparedness is a political not academic failure, and (2) a lot of evidence points to men engaging in less preventative COVID behaviors. If we had *more* gender studies scholars in public health we might be *more* prepared.
Academia captured Leftist politics so that 'progressives' have cared more about intersectionality & virtue-signaling than about the actual neglected & under-researched threats to our civilization.
If your goal is to convince me that this poll isn't just using relative privation to advance a reactionary political project aimed at suppressing research that conflicts with a certain worldview, you're failing.
