Under normal conditions, six weeks of universal vacation per year would probably promote relationship quality & nuclear family solidarity, make it easier for relatives & friends to visit each other, & triple global tourism revenue. Nothing stops businesses from doing that in the US. We're just not going to pay taxes to keep businesses afloat while their workers vacation. The costs would off-set whatever gains they'd make when they return.

I also think the psych effect of customers finding out a small business went on vacation would punish that small business far more than big business.
