What are your thoughts on the current "effective altruism math" of donating to poor families in US vs donating to the global poor? Do you feel that the current calculus is significantly different than pre-COVID?

Is this a ridiculous question? If so, I apologize. But the country I have been worrying the most about has actually been India. Is it possible that private donations to the urban poor in India may help to save many more lives?

Not a ridiculous question at all. The cash might go further in India, and I'm terrified about how the pandemic will hit there.
