Yeah... Thing is, Italy has a pretty average (to be nice) medical system compared to the US and the rest of Europe. Plus it has the second oldest population in the world. They run at 79% of capacity, we run at 64%. They have 13 ICU beds/100K, we have 35.

If you want to see real carnage with this wait until Ireland gets it. They run at 95% of capacity with just 6.5 ICU beds/100K. I think they're going to lose a lot of old people that would have otherwise made it.

Has there been any mention as to why the “recovered” patients number is so low when compared with the officially diagnosed? I hope it’s just because the people who get better don’t bother reporting it back to their doctor
