Friends, we can't bankrupt millions of small businesses and drive us into a Great Depression, and that's what political leaders are doing.
We need (1) serious long-term lockdowns in many cities (2) serious policies to reduce the economic harm from long-term lockdowns (3) a government smart, agile, decisive, and foresighted enough to implement (1) and (2) within days We don't have (3). That's a huge problem.

We need widespread testing and don’t have it yet so it’s going to be a lockdown until then... only essential businesses open and we need to get those drugs that work in the hands of hospitals and doctors maybe we can push this back with that

In a few months we will all be shocked just how much economic activity can be facilitated over an internet connection. A lockdown does not necessarily mean the economy shuts down.

#1 and #2 are incompatible. With no one working, there will be no tax revenue to reduce the economic harm of (1). You destroyed the economy for the safety of the frail who will die anyway now that no one can care for them.

Many more than the frail dying. Money over people is the policy we've been living with for decades and has to stop. This is as good as time as ever. The tax cut alone could have paid to stop the virus.

Why do we need lockdowns?

Because an alleged psychology professor cannot even entertain the notion that he has a bias against "do no harm" ie. it can be better sometimes to do nothing.
