We need to react to the lockdowns like grown adults who have a wartime sense of civil responsibility. Not like teens who resent being grounded.

it is difficult to ask modern people, living in a virtual world filled with distractions, to act like mature adults. our ancestors dealt with war, nature, sickness, death. we have dealt with media controversies and transgender people in bathrooms.

you deal with students. some rise to the occasion, others don't. that's what will happen over an entire society. instant moral maturity happens for some, not others. you'll need the military to enforce the lockdown for a longer period.
