I think what she is asking for is by what criteria do we stay in this holding pattern? Till the curve flattens? Till the curve starts to decrease? Till either of these happen plus another week? Trying to gain control of what we can by understanding the decision trees here.

I think you are missing the point. How long can people self isolate? How long before we are that Chad saying "if I get Corona I get Corona just as long as I can party"? At some point people will say screw it and just continue life. No hard dates, just a time frame for easing up.

There's always a % of the population that surrenders before they even put up a real fight, because fighting is inconvenient. Maybe some 'Chads' will do that, but we should see them for what they are: witless, selfish traitors to humanity -- not 'alpha males'.
