Stopped by the grocery store today to pick up coffee and the toilet paper aisle had been ransacked. Durable goods looked like they hadn't been touched. Why would people need so much tp if they don't have any food.

I started prepping Jan 31, bought my first 25 pound of rice and extra basics.

Rented a car today and bought enough supplies to be able to stay at home 2-3 weeks and to reduce my frequency of grocery shopping. Downplaying by others got to me before, but not anymore. Gladly stores here are still mostly fully stocked atm.

I have my own personal set of metrics for assessing the level of public panic. One of them is availability of small arms ammunition. As of yesterday, a casual walk through sporting goods indicates plenty of ammo available...12 gauge, 30-30, and .22 at pre-panic levels.pic.twitter.com/bKOIp8wJ4a

Probably plenty in CA bc no one wants to pay for the ammo background check & extra tax...
