This is why I've cautioned students not fly anywhere for spring break. If they fly home, they could endanger parents and other older family members. My alma mater is forcing students to leave campus unless they can prove they really can’t, and many students are panicking about seeing their parents or grandparents with health conditions after flying for thousands of miles

Because of the lack of a coordinated response, things like this are happening. Sending students home through the airport system to their vulnerable parents is a terrible idea.
