Hello from South Korea. It took about a week-and-a-half to get the coronavirus under control with large-scale testing, closing schools, wearing masks, etc. Why are the experts so confident that this can't be contained?

I don't know about other countries but the US is a 'failed state' wrt pandemic policy

Pardon my French but it seems highly likely that we the individualist Westerners are going to f*ck this one up. And probably reintroduce the epidemic to the countries that already had it under control. Sixty new cases in Stockholm today, the rising edge is here in the North.
