Leaders should be thinking about how the public will judge them in one year or two years from now, not one or two weeks from now. If they move early & act decisively, it will be remembered. Too late & their political careers will be (or should be) over.
US election is in 7 months. So many politicians pretending that they can just pretend away the pandemic week after week after week, as if voters won't hold them accountable once the deaths start going exponential.
