Academics: if you have a TIAA-CREF pension invested mostly in an index-tracking fund, & you're worried that the Covid-19 pandemic will keep hurting stock values, it's easy to 'change investments' online into the 'money market' (cash) option.

I can understand people who are a few years from retirement being anxious, but for those who are not, the market will have recovered in a few years. At the very worst, a decade (I’m thinking of the 2000’s here.)
