I'm a scientist, and not a Christian. But it drives me nuts how many scientists today are viciously anti-Christian -- and are ignorant about how many scientists were Christians historically, and are Christians today.

Most of the scientists you name were from a period of history where apostasy was punishable by death. Just ask Galileo. He was imprisoned for correctly stating the Helio centric model. Religion have always been a shackle that hinders progress.

But it's science and NOT prayer that's the important factor. Despite the fact that many scientists have historically been Christian doesn't mean their Christianity has helped advance science. In many cases, it seems to have impeded it.
