PS to all the folks who just advise firearms. Yes, those can also help. But brandishing a firearm can get you arrested for assault, or sued, or provoke reactive violence. Nobody ever got jailed, or bankrupted by legal fees, for using a door brace.

AR-15, and an elevated position that overlooks the door? We've got a glass sliding door. I'm assuming that there's no way to enforce it without something like nails + plywood? Fortunately shouldn't be necessary, but also not feasible in our rental unit.

You can put window security film on big glass doors & windows, which helps somewhat, e.g. this BDF film: https://amzn.to/38ipLTc Also that door prop I linked can help keep sliding doors from opening.
