I have a feeling we burn more calories when we have proper posture. Because maintaining proper posture takes more effort. Especially when doing any kind of movement. I have not done any research to know whether we actually do or not. Does anyone know?

Makes sense. Good posture as a costly, reliable signal of health, energy, & fitness -- one that the ill, depressed, & elderly can't afford.
