My tepid take falls between the two--we should criticize the left when they are obstructing pursuit of truth, but we should do so as respectfully as possible.

The heterodox academy should know better than anyone that extremists are an issue. Sadly it seems the left of today is nothing but extremist - they've reached that level of saturation, authority and ability to dictate and impose social norms with pure impunity.
