'Intersectional' is one of those words favored by folks insecure about their vocabulary size. The ones who confuse syllable count with semantic precision. The ones who always say 'methodologies' when they mean 'methods'. The ones who bombed the SAT Verbal.https://www.thenation.com/article/politics/elizabeth-warren-intersectional-campaign/ …

Because I'm a psych professor who doesn't think that mental disorders disqualify people from participating in public discussions of important issues?

Bc in intersectionality you are owed and on a team. Less work for you to do that way. Being an individual means you need to put in the work.

Complex, mixed, and mosaic are all incredibly vague. Ah yes, the topic is complex. Wtf does that even mean. By saying intersectional, we are saying it has to do with the effects on a group of combined identities.

Is Mayor Pete's campaign intersectional because his "sections" are male, white, gay, veteran, young, moderate, Christian? We're all combined identities, right? But it seems like the term only applies to certain ones. Which suggests that maybe it really means something else?

Taking intersectionality for granted as if it always existed is a good sign of the theory’s success
