If you were invited to give a talk at a Pre-conference, but you can find no evidence that the pre-conference exists, and the pre-conference organizers are now ignoring your email request for clarity, is it safe to assume you no longer need to write a talk? Asking for a friend.
I always carry a few Powerpoints around in a USB drive on my key chain, in case I need to give a talk on something or other. #everydaycarry
