Read it in the summer and it completely changed my understanding of how people (including myself) reason in a motivated fashion and why heterodoxy is so important. It's one of the books that really changed how I think. "The quest for cosmic justice" by Tom Sowell was another.

Completely agree, this book changed forever the way I think about political beliefs and discussions.

Never was it so useful as now. There are people with wisdom and no power, people with power, but no time to think. You can discuss and argue endlessly, without results. Thinkers can take part in some talks, was nice to meet you, we have to go on with politics.
