As long as they have enough historical literacy to differentiate totalitarian socialism and democratic socialism. Most do not.
How can we tell the difference if we're not even allowed to talk about one of them?

Maybe I should clarify my position: people should always be allowed to express themselves, but not all arguments are equally credible and not all arguments deserve a platform. I'd argue equally against anyone who conflated mercantilism and modern capitalism.
