I think a rational solution would be to allow (some?) benefits, but have government include prenup services in that package. If anything, this would make for a terrific social experiment. -
Interesting Q: have all marriage incentives been purely once you have been married? As you state, maybe more to support relationships no matter what type may work. Who knows.
