I live in a country that every step of higher education requires such a test. Because higher education is publicly funded. They suck! They are easy to hack, They only test memorizing skills and ability to apply testing techniques. Those who have money will pay for better study/

programs, are able to freely desicate time, and access to teachers with knowledge of what is inportant for questionaire designers. It is by no means fair, and it is not a good test, there is no eay to test a person’s innovativeness or cretivity or their enthusiasm and passion/

You can only bring your scores up a limited amount by taking prep classes, unless you commit fraud & have someone else take the exam for u. CA has quite a few wealthy, educated ethnic minorities. Let's just go back to some objective criteria. Return to meritocracy, please.

Tests are easy to attack bc they are out in open -successes and failures are easy to spot and hyperanalyze to draw whatever conclusion one wants; people only "do" college 1/2 times for their kids and don't know system outside that limited experience to understand backdoor gaming
