Surely this is nothing to do with IQ, but people's perceptions of themselves. Whether it be driving, maths ability or throwing a dart. I find it fascinating why men overestimate themselves compared to how women see themselves.

My daughters mother, behavior psychologist, tested us all (WISC) as part of her training. Her, me and our two kids. I came out dead last. I never overestimated my IQ however I've other traits to helped me in biz/innovation: contrarian, divergent thinking, Disagreebleness.

Their mother has high IQ but also street smarts. Men in my family has on both sides since the 18th century married smart & tall women. Reason, we're lazy. You get very beautiful women bc most men didn't want smart & tall women. So women in my family blond tall smart ball busters.

I don't see how that is a contradictory position (if that is your argument). Their main thesis is IQ is flawed. 1) IQ measurement is imprecise across cultures 2) Males overestimate their IQ, on top of the original flaw They do not seem mutually exclusive to me.

Hmm. Interesting internal contradictions. It takes intelligence to make intelligent estimates, so if men over-estimate their objective IQ and underestimate their emotional intelligence compared to those of women, how worthwhile are these results?
