This question is off-topic, but have you seen The Deuce? I am asking gives The Deuce focuses on a prominent era of pornography and was curious if you had thoughts toward the show.
Watched the first season of The Deuce, but tbh found it all a bit too gritty, sleazy, and depressing.

I watched the first season a few years ago and it didn’t resonate with me all that well. I recently watched season 2 and am currently on season 3. The material is elevated given it focuses less on the sleaze and more on the development of the characters.

There are multiple storylines, some spanning both seasons, that reach peaks in terms of quality. The show also provides a great depiction of the aids epidemic (which I knew very little about being born in 1990).
