As an ex-martial artist I would say, that "be water" is a better advice. You would not like to block or parry heavy punches like that, better to dodge, evade, go around, envelop, take down and flow around...

That was my thought. I would think “be Newtonian fluid makes more sense” than “non-Newtonian”.... now I’ve said Newtonian too many times and it sounds weird.
