We don't really need philosophers. No university needs to have more than a few courses in logic, and maybe a few in the history of philosophy. Political philosophy can be moved to political science. IMHO @PeterSinger contributed more to humanity than the next 50 philosophers combined (though the @Effect_Altruism Movement). Otherwise, largely not helpful. Especially 'philosophy of science'.
