How much is "as much" here? I know 2 identical twins, born 3 mins apart, raised separately from 5-15 age....major differences in personality, perspective, et al. That's where my questions on this issue arise from.

Define major. My wife is a twin and there are differences and similarities. The point is that the differences come from environmental randomness/noise rather than from intentional interventions like education. It’s genes plus randomness not genes plus education, parenting (etc.)

What our culture is today will be our genetics in a thousand years. The nuclear family is emblematic of the culture as a whole and vice versa. It’s human organization that determines education. It’s not parenting, it’s the invention of incentive structures that evolve humanity.

If you are an honest person that doesn’t cling to a manufactured identity and you help those around you to expel their biases than your child will be raised in a community with minimal polarity. This will balance their development.
