Not everyone's a maximalist who needs to stim on architecture - some people prefer simplicity, and extracting greater sums from lesser parts

Your aesthetic appreciation is literally violent.

Le Corbusier was awful; we're dealing with many of the problems that he introduced. But "sociopath" is not a good term in this context; it implies a degree of uncaring. Corbusier meant well, and it is vital to remember that good intentions doesn't always mean good results.

i dislike him as much as anyone, but his practice was deeply informed by humanist ideals (modulor for example, or his bauhaus-like concern for affordable mass production). like many architects of his era, he truly believed what he was doing was best for the people.

bit like i wouldn't say xenakis was a sadistic composer. it might seem so when listening to a lot of his pieces, but he really thought he was going to push music into a future fit for a new mankind. hubris yes, but not sadism or cynicism.
