We won’t survive if we don’t figure out how to govern global processes, and we can’t discuss that question so long as most of the world is laboring under the misapprehension that the universe loves their village most of all. The universe is equally indifferent to everyone. https://twitter.com/illinijohn/status/1197630588498300928 …

Tribal competition is part of the species, it's how we got here, and realistically it can't be removed. Attempting to force a "global mono tribe" would be an existential risk, in itself.

The world must return to a dual-power world order. The fall of the Soviet Union was the worst thing to ever happen to United States. Unipolarity is corrupting to the superpower, and a multipolar world order is too unstable. Organized sports have two competing teams for a reason.

There are times - many times - and for many reasons - I've wondered if the extinction of humanity would be a good or bad event in totality.

Trying to force global governance of anything may be an existential risk in-&-of itself. Perhaps it's better to convince multiple tribes, than try to subjugate them. E.g.: I was against "climate action" until it was pointed out that we can cut CO2 w/o harming avg. citizens:pic.twitter.com/pzGal2ljcb
