The oppo research would be devastating and every podcast clipped chopped, sliced and diced by media matters. Just like Trump was loved pre-2015, then suddenly is “racist,” the narrative would shift overnight. Joe would break from the negative attention within 2 weeks.
'Do you want a guy who does DMT to have the nuclear football?', etc. etc..... So many people underestimate how deeply oppo research limits who's allowed to have any real power.

“Joe Rogan is mentally ill,” would be one narrative, jokes made would be treated as 100% serious and clipped into confessionals. Joe would be threat to real power structure and would be treated accordingly by media machine.

That said, Joe could push through oppo, but he doesn’t have the personality. He likes being loved. No one but Trump could handle what a mass media committed to stopping a real threat to system gives. Joe would get the buzzsaw saved for Trump / Alex Jones.

Joe (in this impossible thought experiment) is in a unique position to withstand the smears. He could just IGNORE most and be on his podcast EVERY day to decide what the narrative should be. He coud literally laugh off most smears+ invite on guests to destroy his opponents

I think the observation of podcasts as a powerful way to reach many and circumventing all the normal channels is accurate. I think Joe’s ability to interview a huge dispersion of people from all walks of life shows flexibility, but his genius is I never know where he stands. Good
