That all said I’d rather see the humanist approach of striving to extend a quality life than the supposed humanist approach of focusing primarily on end of life “options.” The trend in Northern Europe to broaden the criteria for euthanasia is the flip side of this conversation.

Imho a combination of “rage against the dying of the light” and wisdom on the impermanence of all things (buddhism) is a wise balance for an individual. Also before a drastic GDP increase on longevity Id like to see a bold move made on the quality of life in later years...
