Also shout out to all of the gun grabers who thing we shouldn’t have AR-15’s because the government has tanks 🙄 These guys and the ppl in Hong Kong are doing a decent job with nonsense against governments unwilling to escalate straight to “run them over with tanks”

The point of an armed population is the cops know if they shoot they’re going to be shot back at and likely by a LOT more people than they have. Go look up the Bundy Ranch stand-off from a few years ago.

"The point of an armed population is the cops know if they shoot they’re going to be shot back at" ...and the effect this has is not to dissuade them from shooting. In fact, it makes them more likely to shoot.https://www.vox.com/2018/4/9/17205256/gun-violence-us-police-shootings …

Are you trying to argue that a populace shouldn’t have the right to protect itself?

I think they're more staying if the Cops want to roll over you, they will. A gun fair assault rifle isn't going to stop an Actual Organized War Machine. People put too much faith in firearms they keep forgetting the government has those too. And bigger. And better. Also gas.

I've seen people say the military wouldn't just drone strike it's own citizens because it would look bad, but if the citizens shoot first and last long enough they'll do anything

The military is just specially trained citizens who've taken an especially serious vow to uphold the Constitution and to _disobey_ unlawful orders. Why would they obey unlawful orders to fire on other civilians?

I assume this is just a rhetorical question & you know very well that under the heat of the moment, they behave more impulsively & instinctually, & less rationally. Something as minor as police dispatcher priming a police officer wrong can result in tragedy.

Also assuming the military isn’t EXATLY the people who want to use one-sided violence against unarmed citizens. If your peers are doing it, people almost NEVER go against the flow. That’s how the Holocaust happened, no exaggeration. One bad apple, etc. etc.

When those other civilians have opened fire on police, and killed them, they'll just branded terrorists, and the American military's main job is to kill terrorists, whether actual or not
