In my limited understanding of the language if the student can make a coherent argument against the scientific lesson (ex, evolution), using religious teachings, they cannot be penalized. If you can do that you understand the scientific concept well enough for grade school

So, "Darwin was wrong because I'm Baptist" could just be given an F since the "Darwin was wrong" part can be marked according to "legitimate pedagogical concerns". A moral panic.
