In the next 500 years, what is the one thing you would most like to see humanity achieve?

Does it count if they completely exist in virtual universes or does it have to be what we think of as the "real" universe?

Is that the right way to think about it? Doesn't the "real" universe have some kind of intrinsic value that virtual universes cannot ever have? We could cram brains in closets and live in giant racks and exist in the virtual world and never leave the planet. Thoughts?

Good point. Species survival was my first priority, but perhaps mere survival isn’t enough.
