What shocked me when I grew up and I and my friends were entering long relationships was that exactly the opposite is true - a taboo: 90% of my female friends want more sex than their bfs / husbands. Seems to hold back some women from entering long relationships.
But why is 'hypoactive sexual desire disorder' vastly more common in married women than in married men?

I'm not sure! All I know is my female friends are turning into tapestry making ultramarathon runners in swaths in response to being desired by everyone else but their male partners, they tell me, and have no idea what to do or whom to ask. May be a Millennial / Netflix thing...

In any case it would be interesting to run a survey about this. I definitely grew up in the narrative in the tweet you quoted. Then reality - the one women seem to live - was so different I was speechless. Also would note this may be very different when one has kids.
