This seems to assume the person being asked considers the work they're paid to do as "productive"... When I'm at the office, that's generally an obstacle to my being productive.

Another interesting question is if a large such ratio is mostly due to some days being very bad or to some days being very good. I guess it's mostly the former, in which case the ratio between very good days and the average day should be substantially smaller.

If the least productive 10% is literally useless, then the ratio is infinite. And if the least productive are things that end up being a step backwards…
