      Soviet-era 'journalists' at Pravda at least knew they were lying, and probably had some dark nights of the soul about being propagandists. I can't imagine any execs at @ABC, @CNN, etc losing any sleep over what they've done. Their self-deception runs too deep.

      If you're a clinical psychologist, do you show this level of contempt to all your centrist and conservative clients? All just victims of 'psy-ops'? Good luck keeping their trust. .

      It’s not contempt - just disappointment over someone whose work I admire failing to recognize where the actual national security danger lies in the battle against misinformation. Apologies if my sharp tone registered as contemptuous.

      Of course I can imagine being wrong. My Bayesian priors are never set to 1.0, any more than I would imagine yours are. Presumably as scientists we share the same epistemology: all truth claims are to be based only on evidence and logic. Let’s use both to arrive at a clearer view
